Invasive species

Invasive species

I use a variety of methods, including field experiments, socioeconomic surveys, systematic literature reviews, and discrete choice modelling to investigate applied questions related to the control and impacts of the Indo-Pacific lionfish invasion in the Caribbean. Additionally, I use meta-analyses to address more conceptual questions in invasion ecology such as, what is the nature of the relationship between species diversity and a community's susceptibility to invasion?

Currently, I am interested in the relative strength and direction of observed and predicted impacts of of introduced versus range-shifting species on marine systems globally in the context of climate change.
